The 2022 ACU/PISAI Rome Lecture

On Tuesday 24 May 2022 took place the 2022 ACU/PISAI Rome Lecture entitled ‘Human Fraternity and Ecological Conversion: Muslims and Christians in Dialogue’. The event was held in presence at the Rome Campus of the Australian Catholic University (ACU) and online.

Coinciding this year with Laudato Si’ Week 2022 (22-29 May 2022), the lecture involved Christian and Muslim scholars convening in an open and fraternal spirit to discuss matters of ecological concern from their respective traditions. The speakers were Prof. Emmanuel Nathan, Senior Lecturer (Biblical Studies) at the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy of the Australian Catholic University, where he also directs the Research Centre for Studies of the Second Vatican Council, Prof. Zuleyha Keskin, Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Islamic Studies and Civilisation (Charles Sturt University), and Rev. Dr. Patrick McInerney, Director of the Columban Centre for Christian-Muslim Relations and former student of PISAI.

The PISAI thanks Prof. Dermot Nestor, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy at ACU, and Dr. Claudio Betti, Director of the ACU Rome Campus, for organizing the event. A special thanks to the ACU Technical Staff, both at Rome and in Australia for the excellent work carried out.
