Nadjia Kebour and the state visit of the Algerian President to Italy

On the occasion of the state visit of the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the invitation of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, the Algerian Embassy to Italy invited Prof. Nadjia Kebour to deliver a short speech at the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Rome, in the presence of M. Tebboune and some representatives of the Algerian community in Italy, on 26 May 2022.

During her contribution, entitled ‘Culture and dialogue as a bridge between Italy and Algeria’, professor Kebour took the opportunity to mention PISAI, where she is an invited lecturer, and the Pontifical Urban University, also referring to her long-standing commitment in the field of intercultural and interreligious dialogue. A specialist on Saint Augustine, she cited the importance of his figure and message, emphasizing his birthplace in Algeria.

The event was an occasion to put forward proposals that could help strengthen relations between the two countries, especially through the instruments of culture and tourism.
