Future Directions for Interreligious Dialogue

Diego Sarrió Cucarella, M.Afr., Rector of PISAI, participated in a conference entitled “Future Directions for Interreligious Dialogue” organized by the President’s Office of Georgetown University on 13-14 September 2018, in Washington D.C. Co-sponsored by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs, The Department of Theology and The Catholic Studies Program of Georgetown University, the event gathered a group of scholars-practitioners of interreligious dialogue to reflect together on the past 50 years of interreligious relations and offer suggestions for future developments. The event included a public program entitled “Pope Francis and the Future of Interreligious Dialogue”, moderated by Dr John Borelli and featuring Fr. Indunil Janakaratne Kodhithuwakku (Under-Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue), Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald, M.Afr. (former Rector of PISAI and President Emeritus of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue), Sr. Mary Margaret Funk, O.S.B. (Monastic Interreligious Dialogue), Bishop Munib Younan (Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land, Emeritus) and Rabbi Abraham Skorka.
