Academic Year 2018-2019 Opening

On Friday 12^TH October 2017, PISAI officially opened the Academic Year 2017-2018 with a solemn inauguration in the «Maurice Borrmans Memorial Library», in the presence of the entire academic community, staff and students. The program began at 09h00 with a word of welcome and introduction by the newly appointed Rector, Father Diego Sarrió Cucarella, MAfr, followed by a Lectio inauguralis delivered by Martino Diez, lecturer at the Catholic University of Milan and Scientific Director of the Oasis International Foundation. The thought-provoking lecture on the theme «Eastern Christians in dialogue with Muslims: lessons from the past, perspectives for the future» stimulated many questions among those present. After a short break the morning ended with the Holy Mass presided by Cardinal Louis Raphaël Sako, Patriarch of Babylon of the Chaldeans, and alumnus of PISAI.
