Ducci Foundation Peace Prize 2016 to Mons. Fitzgerald

The monotheistic religions in the face of the jihadist phenomenon’ was the theme of the IX Edition of the Ducci Foundation Peace Prize 2016, on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 18.30, in the Promoteca Hall, Campidoglio. The 2016 prize was awarded to three representatives of the monotheistic religions: Prof. Amos Luzzatto, President emeritus of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities, H.E. Mohamed Moncef Marzouki, President of the Tunisian Republic from 2011 to 2014, and H.E. Msgr. Michael L. Fitzgerald, MAfr, Archbishop of the Diocese of Nepte, former Apostolic Nuncio to Egypt, Alumnus and former Dean of PISAI. The symposium was moderated by Lucio Caracciolo.
The Ducci Foundation was founded in 1999 to promote dialogue between cultures, and the study and deeper appreciation of the changes affecting the economic and cultural fabric of society. The Foundation supports any action that might contribute to a greater connection between intellectual and scientific European communities, as well as an open and constructive dialogue with those of other world areas.
