Davide Ravazzoni participates in the Eleventh Conference of the School of the Mamluk Studies

From 8 to 10 May 2025, the Eleventh Conference of the School of Mamluk Studies was held at Queen Mary University of London. The event was conducted in two parts, preceded by a two-day intensive course: a themed day on law and justice in the Mamluk Sultanate (8 May) and two days of panels with open themes (9-10 May).

On the first day, Davide Ravazzoni, a former PISAI student and doctoral candidate at the University of Groningen, addressed a brilliant paper entitled The Price is Right. Reconciling individual agency and communal interests in Ibn Taymiyya's economic thought. The session was moderated by Caterina Bori, also a former PISAI student.
