Participation of Christopher Clohessy in interreligious events

During the summer break, Prof. Christopher Clohessy took part in a number of academic and interreligious programs. In July, he gave two online conferences: the first, about Abū al-Faḍl al-ʿAbbās, with the Lanterns of Light Shīʿī organization based in London, and the second, concerning al-Ḥusayn, as part of the Imām Ḥusayn Conference 2024, Brisbane. Also in July, Prof. Clohessy delivered an address for the 7^th night of Muḥarram, in the Shīʿī Husaini Islamic Centre in Peterborough, outside London.
August saw two further online conferences: the first, about Abū al-Faḍl al-ʿAbbās, with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the second, entitled ‘Suffering and Sacrifice for others. A Muslim-Christian perspective’, with the Ahlul-Bayt Foundation of South Africa, in Cape Town.
On 18^th September Prof. Clohessy delivered an online lecture to students and faculty of the al-Mustafa University in Iran. The theme of the lecture and the conference was on the state of studies around the life and spirituality of Fāṭima daughter of Muḥammad.
