On Friday 6 September 2024, Prof. Augustin Sawadogo gave a presentation entitled "Muslim-Christian Dialogue: Fraternity without Relativism". It was on the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Pope Paul VI’s Encyclical letter Ecclesiam Suam organized by the Institute for Interreligious Dialogue and Islamic Studies (IRDIS) at Tangaza University in Nairobi. The IRDIS is directed by Prof. Felix Phiri, former Lecturer at PISAI.
In the light of Ecclesiam Suam and the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together”, the paper presented by Prof. Sawadogo discussed how Muslims and Christians can dialogue as brothers and sisters in humanity and as believers in the One God despite the absolute nature of their doctrines.
