Congratulations to the new doctor Eleonora Pede

On Thursday 2nd February 2023, Eleonora Pede, former student of PISAI, successfully defended her thesis at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), Lugano, receiving her doctorate with the mention of Magna cum laude.
Her thesis, entitled 'Mā bayna: Il dialogo islamo-cristiano in Europa. Fede ed omosessualità tra utopia e realtà', offered a panoramic vision of homosexuality, with particular reference to the theological impasse, in Christian and in Islam,  between orientations and actions. The thesis, which was an in-depth case study, concentrated on the struggles of gay Christians and Muslims in France, Italy, Germany and Switzerland, and the impact that these shared struggles have in the field of interreligious dialogue. The defense panel comprised Markus Krienke, Paolo Branca, Antonio Angelucci, Antonio Cuciniello (former student of PISAI) and Christopher  Clohessy (PISAI).
