New publication on the Document on Human Fraternity

PISAI is pleased to announce the publication of the volume Il Documento sulla fratellanza umana: una riflessione interdisciplinare, edited by Laurent Basanese, SJ, and Diego Sarrió Cucarella, MAfr (Gregorian & Biblical Press, Rome 2022).

The volume, published in the series “Interreligious and Intercultural Investigations”, collects contributions of ten international scholars on the Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Fraternity, signed on 4 February 2019 in Abu Dhabi by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of al-Azhar Ahmad al-Tayyeb.

The signing of this historic document stimulated a series of meetings and reflections, among which a joint research group of the Gregorian Centre for Interreligious Studies  and the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies (PISAI) embarked on a path of discussion, the fruits of which are gathered in this volume.

In addition to the contributions of the two editors, the volume includes articles by Ambrogio Bongiovanni, Valentino Cottini, Andrea Mandonico, SMA, Adnane Mokrani, Wasim Salman, Virgilio Sottana, Federico Stella and Jason Welle, OFM.
