On Wednesday 23 February 2022 at 5pm the Pontifical Gregorian University hosted the presentation of the book A Call to Dialogue, Christians in Dialogue with Muslims, edited by Ambrogio Bongiovanni, Director of the Centre for Interreligious Studies at the Gregorian, and Victor Edwin, SJ, professor at the Vidyajyoti College of Theology (Delhi, India), Aracne 2021.
The event, which was moderated by Bryan Lobo, SJ, Dean of the Faculty of Missiology at the Gregorian, featured as relators Diego Sarrió Cucarella, MAfr, President of the PISAI, and Indunil J. Kodithuwakku, Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue. The two editors of the volume, which contains a collection of appeared in the Salaam journal of the Islamic Studies Association (Delhi) over the past forty years, were also present. The volume bears witness to concrete efforts in Christian-Muslim relations in India, and offers some issues for thought useful for those working in the field of Islamic-Christian relations today, even in other contexts.
Among the authors contributing to the volume, four have been long-time faculty members of the PISAI: Maurice Borrmans, MAfr, Michael L. Fitzgerald, MAfr, Jean-Marie Gaudeul, MAfr, and Francesco Zannini.
