Presentation of the new book of Gilles Kepel

On 20 September 2021 at the Embassy of France to the Holy See the book Il ritorno del profeta. Perché il destino dell’Occidente si decide nel Medio Oriente (Feltrinelli, 2021) was presented in the presence of the author, the well-known French political scientist and specialist on the Arab world, Gilles Kepel.
The meeting was held in the form of a conversation between the author, Wasim Salman, Professor of the Pontifical Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies (PISAI), and Mario Gira, former Director of International Relations of the Community of Sant’Egidio and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The event was followed by a friendly dinner, hosted by H.E. Ambassador Élisabeth Beton-Delègue, attended by two other members of the academic community of the PISAI, in addition to Prof. Salman: Prof. Diego Sarrió Cucarella and Prof. Mariangela Laviano.
