A webinar entitled “From Academia to Practice: Interreligious Dialogue Experiences in Africa” was held on 19 April 2021, organized by the Pontifical Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies (PISAI) and the John Paul II Center for Interreligious Dialogue.
The speakers were four former students of PISAI: Rev. Fr. Francis Adekunle Adedigba (Archdiocese of Ibadan, Nigeria), Rev. Fr. Manuel Corullón Fernández, OFM (Archdiocese of Rabat, Morocco), Rev. Fr. Richard Gokum (Diocese of Sokoto, Nigeria) and Rev. Fr. Aloysius Nuolabong (Diocese of Wa, Ghana). The Rev. Fr. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya, SX, Undersecretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, offered the concluding remarks.
The webinar, which included a time of rich discussion, offered members of PISAI’s large academic community an opportunity to share their experiences of interreligious dialogue. The PISAI thanks Ms. Elena Dini, Senior Program Manager of the John Paul II Center for Interreligious Dialogue, for the initiative to organize this joint event involving alumni of both Institutions.
