Card. Michael Fitzgerald Given Award by CTU

On 17 June 2020, the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago honored Cardinal Michael L. Fitzgerald, M.Afr., with its annual Blessed Are the Peacemakers award.

The event, held online due to social distancing, is a celebration to support the education and formation of men and women preparing for a ministerial life of service. Each year, an institution or individual(s) whose accomplishments and commitments reflect the values of the mission of CTU, particularly in the areas of reconciliation, justice, and peacemaking, is honored. The selection of Card. Fitzgerald, former President of PISAI, accompanies the twentieth anniversary of CTU’s Catholic-Muslim Studies Program.

The Catholic Theological Union is one of the largest graduate schools of theology and ministry in the United States, sponsored by twenty-four religious communities and enjoying a global reputation for excellence.
