On Friday 18th October, PISAI officially opened the Academic Year 2019-2020 with a solemn inauguration in the Maurice Borrmans Library, in the presence of the entire academic community. The program began at 9am with a word of welcome and introduction by the President, Professor Diego Sarrió Cucarella, MAfr, followed by a warm greeting by the Vice Grand Chancellor, Reverend Father Stanley Lubungo, Superior General of Missionaries of Africa. After that an interesting Lectio Inauguralis delivered by Professor Jason Welle, Director of Studies, on the theme ‘Dialogue, Friendship and Brotherhood: What a Tent in Damietta Means for Muslims and Christians Today’, stimulated many questions among those present. After a short break the morning ended with the Holy Mass presided by Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot, President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, already President of PISAI, after being student and Director of Studies.
