‘The legacy of Maurice Borrmans, M.Afr. The passion of dialogue’

On Thursday 11 April 2019 PISAI dedicates an afternoon slot to ‘The legacy of Maurice Borrmans, M.Afr. The passion of dialogue’.

At 14.45 the Rector, Diego Sarrió Cucarella, will open the proceedings with a speech of welcome. At 15.00 Valentino Cottini, Editor of Islamochristiana, will present the number 44 (2018) entirely dedicated to Maurice Borrmans (1925-2017), founder and director of the journal, and then a passionate collaborator with later directors. This will be followed by an address by Michel Younès, Université Catholique de Lyon, « Comment Maurice Borrmans envisage-t-il Islam d’un point de vue chrétien ? ».

At 17.00, after a short break, there will be a public lecture by Geneviève Gobillot « Les fondements coraniques du dialogue interreligieux autour de la personne de Jésus ». The lecture will be in French.
