PLURIEL is organizing its second International Congress in Rome from 26 to 28 June 2018, under the title Islam & Belonging. The concept of belonging, thanks to the double advantage of being less rigid than the category of identity and more articulated than the phenomenon of recomposition characteristic of modernity, opens up to many of our fields of reflection, and in particular the sociological, political and theological. PISAI is on the scientific committee of PLURIEL, in the persons of Valentino Cottini, its Rector and Diego Sarrió Cucarella, its Dean of Studies. Among the others lecturers Gianluca Parolin, visiting professor of PISAI.
PLURIEL, Plateforme Universitaire de Recherche sur l’Islam en Europe et au Liban, was started by the Federation of Catholic Universities of Europe and Lebanon with the aim of strengthening relationships between researchers in the field of research on Islam and Islamic-Christian dialogue
Congress Venue: Pontificia Università Gregoriana, Piazza della Pilotta 4, 00187 Roma
All conferences will be live translated in French, English and Italian.
