The 2nd year programme, as a follow-up to the 1st  year initiation course, offers a more elaborate examination of various important fields of Islamic sciences. Lectures will be taught in French or English and illustrated by the use of Arabic texts. Translations will be provided to enable everyone to participate.

Arabic language

The 2nd year programme is very demanding as far as the Arabic language is concerned, since it requires an intensive study of different matters: Koran, grammar, pronunciation, translation, Christian and Muslim Arabic texts, newspapers, radio, television, composition, reading, conversation, dictation. The professors will provide texts and bibliography. The students not coming from Dar Comboni have to sit for an admission test in Arabic Language before the beginning of the academic year. All students, during the academic year, have to sit for 4 examinations in Islamics, 2 written and 2 oral, concerning different topics to be convened with the professors.

 

Admission test in Arabic Language: Wednesday 5 October 2011 at 9.00.
