The 1^st year is a propædeutical year; it intends to favour the full immersion of the candidate in the programme of the PISAI: Arabic language, Islamics, Dialogue. This programme could be followed, as a first year, at Dar Comboni for Arabic Studies, a centre based in Cairo which is run by the Comboni Missionaries. The academic year runs from September to June.

Doctorate

Admission to the Doctorate presupposes the obtainement of the License in Arabic and Islamic Studies or an equivalent diploma; it requires a minimum of three years of study.
