The reading room makes available for all customers some useful research tools: dictionnaries, grammars, encyclopedias, historical and literary texts about the Arab-Muslim world; fundamental reference books (Brockelmann, Caetani, Wensinck..); a very important Koranic section displaying many copies of the Koran in various languages and classical Koranic commentaries; an Iranian section with traditional Shi‘ī texts, list of the dissertations of degree students, catalogue of the periodicals. The latest arrivals between books and issues of specialized periodicals are displayed on the shelves. In the reading room three computers are available for online and catalogue research.

A WIFI connection to Internet is at disposal of the readers.
